Sheets of the same geometry and size with different thickness

Shim sets made of sheets of different thicknesses are mainly used in plant construction and maintenance in order to be able to flexibly compensate for vertical distances on the machine base. By combining different thick sheet metal, the smallest distances can be precisely bridged.

Standard shim-sets

Sorted sets of shims can be assembled from standard brands of peel-plate, peel-plate, single-plate and vario-plate. Standard plates usually have a thickness of 0.05 mm to 5 mm. The composition of the sets can vary depending on the application area and the required number of pieces. Current numbers are between 5 and 20 stainless steel sheets per thickness. Sets of standard plates are also available in the practical shim-set case.

Shim sets according to technical drawing

Shim sets according to individual technical drawings are produced when special geometries or very thin sheets are needed, or other materials such as aluminum, brass or plastic are used. This is, for example, the case when several screw slots are required or the environment specifies a particular external geometry. The minimum thickness for stainless steel drawing parts is 0.01 mm.
